For artisan videos

01.

When recording an artisan while they work, the person recording must take the shot from the opposite side.

Do not record video from a high angle or a low angle. The camera must be at a height of the artisan’s face.

For product and craft photos:

01.

Whenever possible photographs of the artisan products or crafts should be taken from the front view.

Place the craft on a clean surface with nothing in the background.

Place your camera approximately at the height of the surface so that the craft is at your eye level.

Take a shot and check for the lighting and sharpness of the photo.

At all times, your camera must be straight.

CRAFT PHOTO

02.

If the craft has details like carvings, and embroidery then take a close-up of the details from different angles.

Don’t rely on 1 or 2 photos, secure yourself by taking multiple photos.

03.

Pro tip: Try placing the craft with some other daily-use objects to help tourists get an idea of the size of the craft.

You can also place the craft on your hand (if small) or you can carry it or place it with a subject (a man or a woman) for a better understanding of the size.
